Local Moving Permit

Issued to the owner of a motor vehicle registered as a Local truck. A Local truck is defined as a truck, truck-tractor, trailer or semi-trailer operated solely in an incorporated city or village or within ten miles of the corporate limits of the city or village where they are owned, operated and registered.

The purpose of this permit is to allow for a vehicle registered as local to move outside the restricted area to have the vehicle serviced. The permit is valid for one trip only. Permit fee is $5.00.

To obtain a Local Moving Permit, you must submit a written request to this office, in person or by mail. The request must contain the following information:

• Name and address of the registered owner of the vehicle;
• The specific location where the vehicle will be serviced;
• The year, make, VIN and license plate number of the vehicle.
